When is Prime Day 2023? July Dates and how long the shopping event will be, learn all about it on Deals Advisor.
The Prime Day, Amazon’s massive annual summer shopping event, is returning in July. The Prime Day brought massive sales with Prime members buying more than 175 million items during the Prime Day event during 2-days sale last year alone. As usual, we will be seeing great deals for electronics, fashion, furniture, and appliances (more on that below).
It is important to note that the Prime Day event is only for Amazon Prime members. You will need to be a Prime Member (you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here), which also comes with fast free shipping, streaming music and video, and more. When is Prime Day?
Since the very first Prime Day in 2015, the event has always been held in mid-July every year. Since the Amazon Prime Day is no longer a single day event, this year event will be a 48-hours sale on Tuesday July 12 & Wednesday July 13. The sale usually takes off at 12am PT until 11:59pm the next day. It is also interesting to know that deals pegged to Prime Day will actually begin before the Prime Day, so at this point, July 1 is when you can expect to watch for Prime Day perks around Amazon.
How does Prime Day work?
Since the Prime Day is held in mid-July, Amazon begins “early deals” for Prime members to build anticipation leading up to the main event. You can see some good discounts on Amazon’s own offerings including Echo / Alexa devices, AmazonBasics products or Amazon Music Unlimited and Kindle Unlimited. For the main event, thousands of deals go live in batches, including “Prime Early Access Deals” and “Lightning deals” that are available in limited quantities for a limited time.
Amazon publishes lightning deals a few hours before they go live on Prime Day. The Amazon App has a “Watch” tool that will let you subscribe to push notifications when the lightning deals go live. If you see a lightning deal you want, you can set a reminder in the Amazon app to let you know when that deal is ready to shop.
How to score big discount during Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day offers a wide range of exclusive deals and discounts on thousands of items across various categories, including electronics, home appliances, clothing, and more. These deals are often comparable to or even better than Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.
During Prime Day, Amazon features limited-time, limited-quantity Lightning Deals. These offers usually have a significant discount, but they sell out quickly. Shoppers can score excellent deals on products they’ve been eyeing if they’re quick enough to act.
Early Access Deals
Amazon Prime members typically have early access to select deals before they become available to the general public. This provides Prime members with an advantage in snagging sought-after items before they sell out.
Prime Membership Benefits
Prime Day serves as a reminder of the various benefits that come with an Amazon Prime membership, such as free two-day shipping, access to streaming services like Prime Video and Prime Music, and exclusive discounts at Whole Foods Market.
New Product Launches
Brands often use Prime Day as an opportunity to launch new products with special deals or exclusive bundles. This gives shoppers a chance to be among the first to try new items at discounted prices.
Amazon Prime Day is a significant shopping event for both Amazon and its customers, providing an opportunity to take advantage of exclusive deals, discover new products, and make the most of the benefits that come with an Amazon Prime membership.
